Free Registration: Hearing and the Aging Brain: Making Sense of the Hearing Loss–Dementia Link

Description: Hearing loss is often described as a dementia risk we can act on. But what does that mean for you? This talk looks at that message in plain language. We’ll cover where it comes from and what it does and doesn’t mean, how people make sense of it, and why hearing and memory might go together as we age. We’ll also look at the hidden mental effort it takes to follow a conversation when hearing is difficult, and new ways of measuring that effort that could help spot hearing problems earlier. And we’ll share how audiologists handle these conversations day to day. Bring your questions and experiences.
